What we collect
Nothing. Unhooked does not collect, transmit or store any personal data on our servers, because Unhooked has no servers.
What stays on your device
- Your no-contact start date and restart history
- Mood entries and any notes you write
- Urge events you log, and which triggers you tagged
- Your progress through the 90-day repair path
- The name or nickname you optionally enter for the other person
This data is written to your device's local storage and, if you have enabled it, your private iCloud container. It is never sent to us.
Analytics and tracking
None. Unhooked contains no analytics SDKs, no advertising SDKs, no crash reporting services and no third-party trackers of any kind. We do not use the Advertising Identifier.
Purchases
Subscriptions are processed entirely by Apple. We receive no payment information. Your subscription status is validated on-device through the App Store.
Deleting your data
Deleting the app removes all local data. You can export everything as plain text at any time from the You tab — your data belongs to you and is always portable, including if you never subscribe.
Children
Unhooked is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone.
Not medical care
Unhooked is a personal reflection tool. It is not medical or psychological treatment, and it is not a substitute for professional help. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a crisis line — several are listed in the app under "If you need help now".
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will ship inside the app and the date above will change.
